This is part of a movie poster for a book being turned into a movie. This is a lot different than the poster I previously posted. This is an actual photograph. I chose it because I am fascinated with how the artist placed an image or almost a reflection into the characters eyes. It's erie and just plain awesome.

I chose to post this poster design for a few reasons. When I first saw the girl it reminded me of a character we might find on one of the old French posters of the Art Nouveau period. It has that old fashioned feel to it. The other part I liked was the background design. It is obviously way more modern than the woman, I enjoyed the blending of the old style with the new style.

Continuing on the thought of optical illusions, I came across this awesome sidewalk painting. Superman (my favorite superhero/comic book character) submerging from underground! I am obsessed with superman so naturally I figured this would be a good selection. I don't even really understand how the artist make it look so dimensional!

skull meets proper lady

After seeing what some of the other students were doing for their blogs, I decided to look up optical illusions online and see if I could find anything that might be more interesting for people to check out. I came across this picture, there are a few things I really like about it. I first like the almost post renaissance look the lady has in the image. What really makes it cool though is the skull. It puts almost a tragic spin on the picture. I saw it as making the lady look doomed to tragedy.
